A review of recent advances in catalytic combustion of VOCs on perovskite-type catalysts

Along with the rapid development of industry, VOCs gradually move into the spotlight, and now become a kind of harmful environmental pollutants that cannot be overlooked. This paper introduces the hazards of VOCs and the common catalytic combustion catalysts, noble metal catalysts and non-noble metal catalysts, for the elimination of VOCs. Perovskite catalysts, as one of the non-noble catalysts, play an important role in the field of catalytic combustion in recent years. According to the classification of elements doping in perovskites, the research achievements in the past five years were analyzed and reviewed. In addition, this paper also analyzes and elaborates the reaction kinetics and QSAR/QSPR models for the introduction of structural properties and reaction mechanisms.     

A simple,rapid and sensitive method based on modified multiwalled carbon nanotube for preconcentration and determination of lead ions in aqueous media in natural pHs

In this study, multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was modified by the pyridine group using a silane agent and characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), thermal analysis (TG/DTA), and elemental analysis (CHN) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The application of this sorbent was investigated in determination of lead ions in aqueous samples, using flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). Through this study, different parameters such as pH and sample flow rate on adsorption process and eluent concentration, volume and flow rate were optimized. The limit of detection (LOD), the relative standard deviation and the recovery of the method were 2 ng mL^?1, 1.3% and 99.7%, respectively. Two standard reference materials (NIST 1571 and NIST 1572) were used to verify accuracy of this method. Finally, the sorbent was successfully applied for extraction and determination of low levels of Pb(II) ions in aqueous samples.     

Regularity and Rigidity for Nonlocal Curvatures in Conformal Geometry

In this paper, we will explore the geometric effects of conformally covariant operators and the induced nonlinear curvature equations in certain nonlocal nature. Mainly, we will prove some regularity and rigidity results for the distributional solutions to those equations.     

Existence and Uniqueness of Solution for a Class of Nonlinear Degenerate Elliptic Equations

In this work we are interested in the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the Navier problem associated to the degenerate nonlinear elliptic equations■,in the setting of the weighted Sobolev spaces.     

On the Generalized Porous Medium Equation in Fourier-Besov Spaces

We study a kind of generalized porous medium equation with fractional Laplacian and abstract pressure term. For a large class of equations corresponding to the form: $u_t+\nu \Lambda^{\beta}u=\nabla\cdot(u\nabla Pu)$, we get their local well-posedness in Fourier-Besov spaces for large initial data. If the initial data is small, then the solution becomes global. Furthermore, we prove a blowup criterion for the solutions.     

Recent Progress in the $L_p$ Theory for Elliptic and Parabolic Equations with Discontinuous Coefficients

In this paper, we review some results over the last 10-15 years on elliptic and parabolic equations with discontinuous coefficients. We begin with an approach given by N. V. Krylov to parabolic equations in the whole space with $\rm{VMO}_x$ coefficients. We then discuss some subsequent development including elliptic and parabolic equations with coefficients which are allowed to be merely measurable in one or two space directions, weighted $L_p$estimates with Muckenhoupt ($A_p$) weights, non-local elliptic and parabolic equations, as well as fully nonlinear elliptic and parabolic equations.     

Studies on coherent and incoherent spin dynamics that control the magnetic field effect on photogenerated radical pairs

Since 1970s, magnetic field effects (MFEs) on photogenerated radical pairs have been the centre of focus in the field of spin chemistry. The MFE attributes to quantum mechanical interconversion between the singlet and triplet radical pair states and subsequent spin-selective recombination reactions. In this New View article, the author picks up two hot topics studied during the last two decades, which are (i) so-called low field effect (LFE) and (ii) 2J-resonance MFE on fixed distance donor–acceptor linked molecules. In both of the topics, quantum mechanical explanations are given referring to recent reports, and some novel calculations have been carried out for bridging theoretical and experimental data for long-lived radical pairs. For the first topic, time domain calculations of coherent state mixing have been carried out for elucidation of hyperfine (HF) structure dependence of the LFE. For the second topic, Monte Carlo simulations of the torsional motion of polyaromatic linker unit have been carried out for the demonstration of fast decoherence in such rigid molecules. From these considerations, future possibilities of MFE studies on photo-functional materials and biomolecules have been indicated.     

Stability of Viscoelastic Wave Equation with Structural $\delta$-Evolution in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$

The aim of this paper is to study the Cauchy problem for the viscoelastic wave equation for structural $\delta$-evolution models. By using the energy method in the Fourier spaces, we obtain the decay estimates of the solution to considered problem.
